Can arrhythmia cause serious health issues?
An arrhythmia is when the heart does not beat regularly. Sometimes, it can be benign. Other times arrhythmias may be associated with other health problems such as a stroke. Strep throat vs Covid or both?
Hello! To answer your question, you can still get strep throat with Covid. You can also get strep throat without tonsils as well. Pharyngitis is when there is inflammation of the throat which can be uncomfortable. One of the most common organisms which is streptococcus, hence, strep throat. This is contagious by sharing drinking, kissing, coughing, etc. Strep throat requires treatment whereas Covid can typically be resolved on its own. Please seek medical attention for your condition. Musculoskeletal discomfort?
I think scheduling a physical exam is the best thing to do. I would try to seek an earlier appt especially with persistent symptoms. If taking anti-inflammatory medication helps you reduce your pain. If so it is likely a musculoskeletal pain. Costochondritis tends to hurt when you take a deep breath or move quickly and that is typically a sharp pain. We also have our lymphatic system which helps our immune response. We have many cervical and thoracic lymph nodes chains we can check during an exam, including the ones that lie under the collar bone area. If abnormal we order further diagnostic testing. If you experience increased pain or worsening symptoms it is best to be evaluated in the emergency department. READ MORE
