Dr. Henderson-Toderic is a double board certified physician in both sports medicine and family medicine who is licensed to practice medicine in Georgia, Alabama, and Hawaii. She is dedicated and committed to demonstrating excellence and the delivery of the highest quality of care to her patients.
Currently, she is in practice with Kahuku Medical Center, a 501 c(3) not-for-profit hospital operating on Oahu’s North Shore.
Educated in the United States, Dr. Henderson-Toderic graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Mississippi State University in 2012 While at Mississippi State she was a 4yr member of the Soccer team. She then went on to complete her Masters Degree in biomedical Sciences from Barry University in 2013. She later earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Carolinas Campus in 2018.
Furthering her training, she completed her residency in family medicine at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where she served as a Chief Resident. She then went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at VCOM-Auburn where she trained under the direction of physicians from the Hughston Clinic and Andrews Institute for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. During her fellowship she acted as one of the team physicians for Auburn University and Tuskegee university.
Sports medicine is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries due to athletic activity. Sports medicine specialists are either orthopedic surgeons or primary care physicians who prescribe treatments for professional and amateur athletes. They are trained to address issues associated with nutrition, sports psychology, and substance abuse. They may also counsel athletes on injury prevention.
