Get to know Plastic Surgeon Dr. John Symbas, who serves patients in Atlanta, Georgia.

A skilled plastic surgeon, Dr. Symbas joined the plastic surgery team at Atlanta Plastic and Reconstructive Specialists in October 2015. Prior to that, he was an instrumental member of the team at Marietta Plastic Surgery for almost 5 years.

Educated in the United States, Dr. Symbas graduated magna cum laude from the School of Medicine at Emory University where he also finished his undergraduate program. He completed his residency at Emory University through the School of Medicine in both plastic surgery and in general surgery. Finally, he completed a fellowship in oculoplastic and cosmetic surgery at Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the doctor became board-certified in 2012 by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
