Dr. Payero-Gonzalez earned her medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. She later completed her Family Medicine residency at BronxCare Health System, affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Her training provided her with a deep understanding of both urban and community-based healthcare, strengthening her dedication to accessible and equitable care.
Following residency, Dr. Payero-Gonzalez joined Ascension Sacred Heart in Panama City as a hospitalist, gaining valuable inpatient experience. She later opened Payero Family Medicine, a private clinic focused on whole-person wellness and longevity. Her approach blends evidence-based medicine with personalized care plans that support each patient’s physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.
