Get to know Dentist Dr. Ellen Norve Drysdale, who serves patients in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Recognizing dental health as part of total health, Dr. Drysdale enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with an emphasis on family dental care and prevention. She also enjoys cosmetic dentistry and is part of an implant study group. 

At Lakeside Dental Centre, she takes a sincere interest in each individual and has a warm and caring style. By actively listening, she is able to customize dental treatment to meet individuals’ specific needs.

Lakeside Dental Centre is a patient-centered practice in Halifax, Nova Scotia that offers comprehensive dental care with an equal commitment to preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Its mission is to provide friendly, professional and complete dental services that encourage patients to take an active role in caring for their teeth and gums. 

Originally from Halifax, Dr. Drysdale has had the privilege of serving her community for over two decades. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Dalhousie University before graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University in 1994. There, she was the recipient of the Quintessence Award for Greatest Proficiency in Clinical Dentistry and Academic Achievement, Quintessence Prize for Excellence in Clinical Achievement in Periodontics, and Canadian Academy of Periodontology Prize. 

Licensed with the Nova Scotia Dental Board, Dr. Drysdale is a member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.

After seven years of practicing in Tantallon, she moved to North Carolina and then returned to establish her practice in Halifax. 

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
