Dr. Mulukutla is an adult & pediatric interventional cardiologist with El Paso Cardiology Associates, P.A. 

In Texas, El Paso Cardiology Associates is a group of board-certified medical professionals dedicated to preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases. The physicians provide all levels of invasive and non-invasive cardiology. Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Mulukutla graduated with his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 2005. He then went on to perform his combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the said establishment in 2009.

Furthering his training, he completed his residency in pediatric cardiology at Texas Children’s Hospital in 2013, his residency in cardiovascular disease at Texas Heart Institute in 2016, his residency in pediatric interventional cardiology at Texas Children’s Hospital in 2016, and his residency in interventional cardiology at Texas Heart Institute in 2017.

With a commitment to patient care, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, adult congenital heart disease, adult cardiology, and adult interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Furthermore, he is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics, in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography.

Among his other roles, Dr. Mulukutla is the Medical Director of West Texas Adult Congenital, and serves as the Medical Director of Cardiology at The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus.

Interventional cardiology is a branch of cardiology that deals specifically with the catheter based treatment of structural heart diseases. An interventional cardiologist is a cardiologist with one to two years of additional education and training in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease as well as congenital (present at birth) and structural heart conditions through catheter-based procedures, such as angioplasty and stenting.
