I think in this case your esophagitis and stomach ulcers are unrelated. Based on your age, the most common cause of rectal bleeding is anal fissures and internal hemorrhoids. If you have associated diarrhea, then inflammatory bowel disease is also a possibility. READ MORE

In July of 2015, Dr. Villa became an integral part of MultiCare and is presently based at MultiCare Rockwood Digestive Health Center in Spokane, Washington. His affiliations include MultiCare Valley Hospital and MultiCare Deaconess Hospital.
Dr. Villa’s educational journey began in Guatemala, where he earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Francisco Marroquín University. He then relocated to Houston, Texas, where he completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine from 2011 to 2014, respectively. Furthering his expertise, he underwent an additional fellowship in advanced endoscopy at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona from 2014 to 2015.
To further validate his qualifications, Dr. Villa achieved board certification in gastroenterology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
He also served in the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) as a member of the Quality Committee from 2015 to 2018.
