  • How do you prevent hair loss during radiation treatments?

Breast radiotherapy typically does not cause hair loss. Hair loss (alopecia) is a side effect commonly associated with chemotherapy rather than with radiation therapy. Radiation treatment for breast cancer is localized to the breast area and does not typically affect hair follicles on the scalp. Therefore, patients undergoing radiotherapy for breast cancer usually do not experience hair loss as a direct result of the radiation treatment itself. Sent from Dimitris's iPENN phone READ MORE
