Dr. Sisto is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon with special interests in trauma and limb preservation.
At Desert Foot & Ankle, he treats a variety of foot and ankle conditions including, but not limited to, bunions and hammertoes, bunionettes, arthritis, ligament and tendon injuries, fractures, sports injuries, charcot neuroarthropathy, flat feet, and high arches. Dr. Sisto has training in minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopy, ilizarov external fixation/deformity correction, total ankle arthroplasty, and revision surgery, amongst a plethora of other procedures.
A believer in delivering patient-focused care, Dr. Sisto formulates a specific treatment plan with the goal of giving the best functional result and ultimately, restoring patients’ quality of life. Whether his patient is a professional athlete or weekend warrior, a well-thought out plan will be constructed entailing both nonoperative and operative treatment options. Care is taken to ensure all information is conveyed in a manner the patient understands to optimize recovery and achieve best possible outcomes.
Following completion of his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, Dr. Sisto completed his four-year medical degree at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University. After medical school, he completed an exhaustive three-year residency with added credential of reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon.
In addition, he completed a one-year fellowship in reconstructive foot/ankle and limb preservation in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Louisville in 2022.
Subsequent to his education, he attained board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, whose purpose is to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by the advancement of the art and science of podiatric surgery.
Staying up to date in his field, Dr. Sisto is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
