Nicholas T. Champion, MD is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced training in Breast Surgical Oncology, having completed his fellowship training at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, FL. This advanced training focuses on a multidisciplinary approach to treating breast cancer, utilizing the latest innovations and treatment modalities available. Dr. Champion attended the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, graduating with Honors, and completed his general surgery training at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University/Northwell Health in Staten Island, NY. His research interests are in developing new cancer treatment modalities for breast cancer, improving surgical outcomes in breast surgery, as well as breast cancer survivorship and lymphedema prevention. Dr. Champion has a passion for helping patients to navigate the complex and uncertain path of fighting breast cancer with the goal of delivering excellent patient-centered care while improving surgical and cosmetic outcomes.
