He obtained his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, where he graduated with honors in research. Dr. Youssef completed his neurosurgical internship and residency at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, followed by fellowship training in minimally invasive, robotic, and complex spine surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center and Semmes-Murphey Clinic in Memphis. Under the mentorship of renowned spine surgeons Dr. Kevin Foley and Dr. Paul Park, Dr. Youssef honed his skills to provide cutting-edge care.
In addition to being a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Youssef is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Florida Neurosurgical Society.
Having demonstrated a commitment to community service, Dr. Youssef was actively involved with St. Mary and St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Tallahassee from 2007 to 2012. Later, from 2014 to 2016, he contributed his time and skills to the University of Florida Mobile Outreach Clinic in Gainesville, supporting community health initiatives.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Youssef enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Erica, and their three dogs, Daisy, Dean, and Delilah. He is also a soccer enthusiast and loves exploring the beautiful beaches of the Emerald Coast.
