Laura Johnson has two decades of experience working with people from all backgrounds and cultures in multiple clinical practice settings. She has experience helping individuals navigate the transitions that often occur in life; including illness, divorce and grief related to all types of loss. She also brings a trauma informed approach to address adverse experiences. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic psychotherapy, religious trauma therapy and grief therapy. She is a Certified Telemental Health Provider and offers on-line and in-person sessions. She describes her role as a therapist as one who guides the individual to create planned change required to live a healthy life. She knows the benefit of focusing on the whole person ~ mind ~ body ~ spirit ~ and the strength that comes from an overall healthy lifestyle that integrates movement, meditation and nutrition.
