The Black Hills Regional Eye Institute is proud to highlight the expertise of Dr. Adam Jorgensen, a board-certified eye physician and surgeon specializing in cataract and glaucoma surgery. Dr. Jorgensen, who has been an integral part of the Eye Institute team, continues to provide exceptional eye care services to the communities of Rapid City, Sturgis, and Pierre, South Dakota.

With a focus on patient-centered care, he offers comprehensive glaucoma and cataract consultations. As a leading cataract surgeon at the Eye Institute, he is skilled in performing both toric, multifocal, and light-adjustable intraocular lens implantation, which allows patients to achieve improved vision without the need for glasses after surgery.

After completing his B.S. in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry, Dr. Jorgensen earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He further honed his skills during his internship at the University of Utah Medical Center and his residency at the renowned John A. Moran Eye Center. He also completed a fellowship in glaucoma surgery at the same institution, equipping him with specialized knowledge in the latest treatment modalities.

At Black Hills Regional Eye Institute, he employs cutting-edge techniques in micro-invasive glaucoma surgeries and has a keen interest in the latest advancements in glaucoma treatments.
