  • Can hearing loss after an ear infection be fixed?

Hearing loss following an ear infection is often temporary, especially if it’s due to fluid buildup or congestion in the middle ear. In many cases, hearing returns once the infection clears. However, if the hearing loss persists, further evaluation by an audiologist or ENT specialist is recommended to determine the cause and explore treatment options. At The Beacon Clinic LLC in Baltimore, we offer hearing and speech evaluations for children, including those with a history of ear infections. We can refer you to the right specialists to ensure your child’s hearing and communication development is on track. Feel free to contact us for more information or to schedule an evaluation.
