Specializing in gallbladder, stomach, colon, small bowel, weight loss, and hernia surgeries, Dr. Nangeroni is committed to providing patients with innovative surgical options that promote faster recovery and reduced pain through the use of small incisions and advanced robotic technology.

Dr. Nangeroni, who is the Director of Robotic Surgery at Southern Ocean Medical Center, has seamlessly integrated the DaVinci Xi robotic surgery platform into his practice, becoming the highest volume robotic surgeon at the facility. Under his leadership, Southern Ocean Medical Center has developed a robust robotic surgery program, and Dr. Nangeroni made history by performing the first robotic colon surgery at the hospital. By utilizing cutting-edge technology, he ensures that his patients experience less pain, quicker recoveries, and shorter hospital stays, reaffirming his dedication to excellence in surgical care.

Dr. Nangeroni’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Muhlenberg College, followed by a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His residency in general surgery at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine further ignited his passion for weight loss and hernia surgery, leading him to become a vital member of NJ Weight Loss Doctors, one of the nation’s leading bariatric surgical groups.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Nangeroni’s interests reflect his commitment to health and wellness. Growing up in a family that cherished cooking, he faced a pivotal choice between a career in medicine or culinary arts. Ultimately choosing medicine, he still finds joy in the kitchen, where he explores plant-based cuisine. Recently, he has been dedicated to discovering new and exciting ways to create delicious vegan dishes, emphasizing the health benefits of a diet rich in plant-based foods.
