Former New York Jets Team Physician Brings Elite Sports Medicine Expertise to Lawrenceville, NJ 

Princeton Sports and Family Medicine, P.C. is proud to welcome Dr. Victoria Gordon McCarthy, DO, MS, to its team of multidisciplinary providers. Board-certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine, Dr. McCarthy offers a unique blend of clinical excellence and athletic insight, having served as a Fellow Team Physician for the New York Jets and Seton Hall University’s soccer and football teams during her Sports Medicine Fellowship at Atlantic Sports Health in Morristown, NJ.

A former varsity field hockey player at Yale University, Dr. McCarthy understands firsthand the physical and emotional challenges athletes face. Her clinical focus includes non-operative orthopedic care, concussion management, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided injections. She is also certified in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, allowing her to provide comprehensive, hands-on treatment for musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. McCarthy’s academic journey reflects her commitment to holistic, patient-centered care. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at Overlook Family Medicine in Summit, NJ, where she received multiple awards for research and clinical excellence. Before medical school, she obtained a Master’s in Human Nutrition from Columbia University, enhancing her ability to integrate nutrition counseling into preventive care strategies.

At Princeton Sports and Family Medicine, Dr. McCarthy provides a full spectrum of services, including annual check-ups, women’s health, and sick visits, in addition to sports medicine consultations. Her personalized approach caters to individuals at all fitness levels, from those embarking on new wellness journeys to seasoned athletes preparing for events like Ironman competitions.
