Cypress Cardiovascular Institute is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Michael Hust, MD, to its esteemed team of cardiovascular specialists. As a board-certified interventional cardiologist, Dr. Hust is committed to delivering advanced, patient-centered heart care to the Cypress community.
Dr. Hust completed his medical training at UT Health Houston McGovern Medical School, where he also completed his internship, internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship, and interventional cardiology fellowship. During his training, he gained firsthand technical skills by performing over 450 percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), 150 peripheral interventions, and more than 100 cases involving cardiogenic shock requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support. He also has expertise in treating deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), and is certified in the implantation of pulmonary arterial pressure monitors to slow heart failure progression.
At Cypress Cardiovascular Institute, Dr. Hust provides comprehensive cardiovascular care, including the latest diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and vascular conditions. He is dedicated to offering compassionate care that empowers patients to take control of their heart health.
Dr. Hust is also an associate professor at the University of Houston School of Medicine, where he contributes to the education and training of future medical professionals.
