Roger Potts, LPN is a highly experienced educator and licensed practical nurse with nearly four decades of service in healthcare and education. He has dedicated much of his professional life to training future healthcare professionals, specializing in geriatrics, curriculum development, and clinical instruction. Roger currently teaches pre-nursing students at Tri-Tech Skills Center through the Kennewick School District, preparing high school students to take the Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam. In this role, he combines hands-on clinical expertise with a passion for mentorship, ensuring each student enters the healthcare workforce with professionalism and confidence. In addition to his educational work, Roger has held various clinical and administrative roles throughout his nursing career. He served for over 30 years as a nurse supervisor in long-term care, particularly in geriatrics, and continues to apply his clinical skills as a weekend nurse manager at Richland Rehabilitation Center. His extensive background in managing nursing and ancillary staff has equipped him with a deep understanding of resident care, staff coordination, and regulatory compliance in the long-term care setting. Roger is especially skilled in creating compassionate, patient-centered care environments and fostering strong interdisciplinary teamwork. Roger’s educational journey includes an Associate of Arts degree in Science from Yakima Valley College, undergraduate studies in Psychology at Central Washington University, and nursing training at Columbia Basin College. He is also a proud graduate of Riverview Baptist High School. With a longstanding commitment to service, education, and excellence in care, Roger continues to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals while making a lasting impact on both his students and patients.
