Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Eesha R. Bhattacharyya, who serves patients throughout the State of Hawaii.

A board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Bhattacharyya is affiliated with Ko’olau Women’s Healthcare, welcoming patients at their offices in Honolulu and Kailua, Hawaii. He specializes in single-site surgery, performing procedures such as hysterectomy, removal of ovarian cysts, fibroids and more. He enjoys working with pregnant patients to achieve the best outcome for mother and baby.

In regards to his educational pursuits, he earned his medical degree from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1988, before completing his internship and residency in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine in 1992.  

As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics & gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Bhattacharyya serves as the backup for the midwives on Molokai, and has medical privileges at Adventist Health Castle, Queens Medical Center, and Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
