Dr. McClurg is a fellowship-trained rhinologist who specializes in the advanced treatment of sinus and nasal problems. His specialities include revision and primary endoscopic sinus, surgery, nasal airway obstruction surgery (septoplasty, turbinate reduction, nasal valve collapse), repair of CSF spinal fluid leaks and encephaloceles, chronic sinus disease, allergic sinusitis, as well as endoscopic skull base and pituitary surgery. In regards to his educational background, Dr. McClurg earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University. He then attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine, earning his medical degree.
Furthering his training, he performed his residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He also completed his fellowship in rhinology, allergy and endoscopic skull base surgery at UNC Medical Center.

Throughout his line of work, he has served as Co-Director of the Kansas City Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery Surgical Fellowship Program (2015-2018), and as Director of The Saint Luke’s Sinus Center (2014-2018).
