Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Kimberly Bobo, who serves patients in Houston, Texas.

As a generalist in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Bobo has many interests, including high-risk pregnancies and menopause. Her expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for the gynecologic patient is of special importance to her, as she firmly believes it improves recovery times and patient outcomes.

With a passion for her profession, Dr. Bobo is committed to providing state-of-the-art healthcare to women of all ages, in a caring and compassionate environment, at The Women’s Specialists of Houston | Pavilion for Women in Houston, Texas.

A part of Texas Children’s Hospital, The Women’s Specialists of Houston is a trusted OB/GYN practice known for its experienced physicians and midwives, high-quality care, and uniquely supportive environment. A native Houstonian, Dr. Bobo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Rice University. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1998 and went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia in 2002. 

Following her training, she became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Actively involved in academic teaching programs with residents, Dr. Bobo is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association and the American Medical Women’s Association. 

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Bobo’s hobbies include playing the violin, cooking, and traveling.
