Dr. Nayak is an adult & pediatric urologist who is currently serving patients at Effingham Urology Associates SC, located in Effingham, Illinois. Since 1973, the physicians at Effingham Urology Associates, SC have been caring for patients’ urological needs and concerns.

Dr. Nayak is affiliated with several hospitals in the state of Illinois, including Fayette County Hospital and St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Nayak completed his medical training at PC Jabin College, Karnatak Science College, and Karnatak Medical College - all of which are located in India. He completed his internship at Princeton Hospital in New Jersey, followed by his residencies in surgery and urology in Ohio and New York.

Dr. Nayak is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). This mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by: establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists; and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning and the deliverance of high quality, safe and ethical urologic care.

Dr. Nayak is a member of many professional associations, including the American Urological Association. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), which is a post-nominal title used to indicate that the surgeon’s education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by said College.

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Pediatric urology is a surgical subspecialty of medicine dealing with the disorders of children’s genitourinary systems. With over 40 years of experience in the field, Dr. Nayak provides care for patients of all ages. His special areas of expertise include treatments of benign prostatic hyperplasia (bph), prostate cancer, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, enlarged prostate, bladder cancer, birth defects, and urinary tract infection (uti).
