Get to know Diagnostic and Interventional  Radiologist Dr. Frank A. Morello, Jr., who primarily serves patients in Texas.

A diagnostic and interventional radiologist, Dr. Morello is Chairman of Radiology at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress in Texas.

 HCA Houston North Cypress, a campus of HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood, is a 163-bed, general acute care hospital equipped with an accredited Chest Pain Center, an accredited Bariatric Center of Excellence, and certified as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. It offers a wide range of comprehensive services, including heart and vascular surgery, neurological care, orthopedic care, and oncology care.

Back in 1994, Dr. Morello earned his medical degree with national medical honors, from the John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. He then went on to perform his residency in diagnostic radiology at University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals until 1998, and completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Albany Medical Center (Albany, New York) in 1999.

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in both diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

A senior-level physician and executive with several years experience in medical affairs, Dr. Frank Morello, Jr. is a board member for two large healthcare companies & founder of one successful medical consulting company. His leadership experience includes executive responsibility for business strategy, financial management, regulatory relations, human resources, technology, operations, marketing, as well as a strategic focus in the integration and transition of acquisitions and new growth strategies. 

Practicing medicine in Texas, he is also affiliated with OakBend Medical Center, St. Joseph Medical Center, and HCA Houston Healthcare – West, Medical Center, Pearland and Conroe. Outside of  Houston, Dr. Morello also practices at the HCA Hospitals in Corpus Christi.

On a professional level, Dr. Morello. is a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology and a member of the Texas Radiological Society.

Diagnostic Radiology is a medical specialization that involves undertaking a range of imaging procedures to obtain images of the inside of the body. Diagnostic radiologists interpret medical images produced by X-rays (radiography and CT), radioisotopes (nuclear medicine), ultrasound (sonography), and magnetic fields (MRI).
