In addition to being a board certified family practice doctor, he was a sports medicine doctor for many years and took care of all of Don King's fighters and traveled the world with them. He founded Emergency Physicians, Incorporated, overseeing the emergency departments and supplying physicians to 8 different hospitals. He was given the honor of being appointed interim sheriff in Ashtabula County in 1976. In addition to diagnosing and treating illnesses, family practitioners also put focus on preventative care with routine checkups, tests and personalized coaching on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Rhodes possesses immense general knowledge on maintaining health and today, family practitioners provide more care for the underserved and rural populations than any other medical specialty.
