Get to know Podiatrist Dr. Maria Branca, who serves patients in Yonkers, New York.

Recognized as an outstanding, skilled podiatrist, Dr. Branca sees patients at her private practice in Yonkers, New York. She treats a wide variety of conditions, including Achilles tendinitis, ankle sprains, bunions, foot fractures, hammertoe, and plantar fasciitis. It is her goal to resolve patients’ pain and function issues in a way that allows them to live the life they are accustomed to.

Upon receiving her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from New York University in 1990, Dr. Branca went on to earn her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1994. Before long, she became board-certified by the American Board of Wound Management, which is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization established for the purpose of credentialing inter-disciplinary practitioners in the field of wound management.

Demonstrating her commitment to the field of podiatry, she remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association and the New York State Podiatric Medical Association. 

Podiatry is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of a variety of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. A podiatrist, also known as a podiatric physician or a foot and ankle surgeon, is a medical professional devoted to the treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. They can treat injuries and complications from ongoing health issues like diabetes.
