Get to know Hospitalist Dr. Brian Johnson, who serves patients in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

A committed hospitalist, Dr. Johnson is the Chief Medical Officer at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He also serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Aurora BayCare Medical Center is a 167-bed, full-service tertiary care hospital serving the Green Bay area and communities throughout northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Patients receive the highest quality care in a healing environment that emphasizes their comfort and convenience.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Johnson graduated with his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in 1998, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2001.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he is an active member of the Society of Hospital Medicine.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
