Get to know Emergency Physician Dr. Robert Chase Phariss, who serves patients in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Phariss, an experienced emergency physician, is a part of the team of professionals at EMC of TeamHealth in Fort Worth, Texas.

In association with Texas Health, he is affiliated with Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, Texas Health Azle, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne.

Following the completion of his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2012, Dr. Phariss went on to further his education. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in 2015.

A member of the American Osteopathic Association, he is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). The AOBEM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of acutely ill patients with advanced cardiac life support, trauma, and the management of other life-threatening medical issues (emergency physicians).

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician is a physician who works at an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients. They care for unscheduled and undifferentiated patients of all ages.
