Get to know Emergency Physician Dr. Donald B. Geldart, who serves patients throughout the State of Florida.

Dr. Geldart is an experienced and empathetic emergency physician specializing in addiction medicine and family medicine. With over five decades of experience in his field, he sees patients of all ages at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine Frostproof, AdventHealth Family Medicine Avon Park, and AdventHealth Sebring with offices in Avon Park and Sebring, Florida.

AdventHealth is a faith-based, non-profit health care system headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida, that operates facilities within nine states across the United States. It encompasses thousands of compassionate professionals working to Extend the Healing Ministry of Christ around the country.

A 1968 graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University, Dr. Geldart went on to complete his internship at Victoria General Hospital. Before long, he became board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician is a physician who works at an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients. They care for unscheduled and undifferentiated patients of all ages.
