How long after the implant will I get a crown?
I am surprised that your dentist did not give you complete information of the process of replacing a tooth with implant. Even more surprised that you did not ask. Every case is different but in general, it takes 3 to 5 month for the implant to integrate with the bone, than an abutment is placed over the implant and over the abutment the crown can be placed. My best advise: talk you your dentist! READ MORE

I use laser to treat that kind of cavity. Drilling the tooth will create lots of damage to the enamel, that can’t be seen or felt for a long time, like micro fractures. If the gums only are hurting that is due to a trauma from the metal clamp that was placed around the tooth to hold the rubber dam. Take some Advil and swish warm salty water for couple of days. Temporarily, until the temperature of the water gets to the body temperature. The pain is due to inflammation that we need to move the teeth.
