Conquering Rheumatoid Arthritis Bite by Bite with Chef Seamus Mullen

When you're tired, roast instead of fry

Mullen says that on those tired days you should roast instead of frying. This can be a roasted vegetable or vegetable-and-meat dish to best combat symptoms of pain or achiness. Roasting is more passive than frying, so all you need to do is spread the oil and seasoned food in the pan, then place it in the oven. Not too difficult, right? Then you go in a different room, watch some television, read a book, even take a short nap if you want to - just don't forget about what you have in the oven! Not to mention, roasting also offers more health benefits than frying, so on top of being easier on you, you'll be giving yourself an added bonus. The added amount of time cooking is also able to extract as much flavor from the vegetable as possible, making you more likely to want to eat them! (Which you should, because the health benefits are absolutely abundant.)
