7 Tips for Newly Diagnosed Lupus Patients
4. Reduce stress as much as possible
Since most lupus flares happen when intensely stressful periods are being experienced, it makes sense to try and limit the amount of exposure to stress as much as is possible, because you never really know just what will happen with the next lupus flare. Try to set aside time to do the things that you enjoy the most, either by taking a walk, watching a movie, or reading a book. Meet with friends when possible and just hang out. Join a group that enjoys the same activities or join a support group that has an understanding of what it means to have lupus. If those things aren’t possible all the time, it may be useful to find a professional to speak to.
