Has the Congressional Lupus Caucus Made Any Progress?
In 2017, another 5 million was granted towards research. And researchers are now receiving these funds annually.
In March of 2017, The U.S house proposed $5 million in Lupus Research Funds annually be awarded and placed under the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program operated by the Army Medical Research and Material Command in Ft. Detrick, Maryland. The Senate approved the bill.
This will help researchers significantly with their studies into the causes of lupus and new treatments.

They recognized the need to invest in world-class scientific research, and we thank them all.”
