Attend lectures and classes whenever you can. A 99-year old woman is the oldest graduate from college. She never stopped learning and stayed vibrant her entire life. Learning strengthens the connections between different parts of your brain, it improves self-esteem, helps fight dementia, and improves memory. It also enables you to cope with stress. Plus, learning is fun. The desire and ability to learn is a marker for a healthy brain. As you learn, your brain stays healthy, maintains neural connections and forms new connections. New connections improve long-term memory.
