Sleep's Critical Role in Everything Humans Do
Final thoughts
There’s still so much we don’t understand about sleep. We know that it’s vital when it comes to regulating body functionality, but we still don’t know how sleep does what it does. Not getting enough sleep, as well as sleeping too much has been known to contribute towards cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and even sudden death syndrome, which results in the person’s premature death due to cardiac arrest. In conclusion, we know much more about what happens when we sleep too much, or too little, but we’re still struggling to discover the ‘why’ of the matter. Nevertheless, until the time when our understanding of sleep is expanded comes, everyone can benefit from sleeping at least 6 hours every night.
