Study Suggests Link Between Celiac Disease and Anorexia Nervosa
Preventing eating disorders
Eating disorders are very dangerous and very much real in today’s society. However, one can lessen the likelihood of developing an eating disorder with these tips:
Learning to accept body type
There is a fine line between accepting one’s body type and tolerating it even if it’s not healthy anymore. Don’t dwell too much on what the norm says about the ideal weight. Being too fixated on losing weight just to please the society can distort one’s perspective greatly.
Be aware
Awareness is the key in understanding sufferers of an eating disorder. This makes a person less judgmental and changes his or her attitude towards these disorders.
Don’t categorize food
The body needs a fair share of nutrients from all types of foods. Categorizing the foods into boxes will most likely lead a person to an eating disorder. Be open to all kinds of foods but limit the portion size.
