4. Consider a professional assessment
People with MS can have an occupational or physical therapist come to their home to make assessment and provide recommendations. This can take some of the pressure off of the patient and allow them to feel confident that their home will remain a safe and healing environment. Many of the suggestions are simple but often overlooked. They can include things like placing grab bars in the bathroom, removing throw rugs, placing commonly used items in areas where they are easily reached, and more.
