• Covid timeline?

I tested positive for covid yesterday, and want to know when I can stop being in isolation. I have been sick since at least last Saturday, and have read that you only need to wait 10 days after the symptoms started. So does that mean I calculate 10 days from when I first got sick on that Saturday?

Guidelines now are 10 days from the onset of symptoms. You can begin your calculation from the first day of symptoms. I typically lean towards the side of caution, and unless you are an essential worker, recommend 14 days.

Thanks for the question.
You are correct. What you should know to help with the decision is that Covid is transmissible 12 days after the onset of symptoms.
