Covid timeline?

Guidelines now are 10 days from the onset of symptoms. You can begin your calculation from the first day of symptoms. I typically lean towards the side of caution, and unless you are an essential worker, recommend 14 days.

How to handle COVID in your house?

He needs to stay isolated in one area of the home if possible and use a separate bathroom. He needs to practice good hand hygiene by washing his hands regularly with soap and water. He also needs to avoid touching his nose or mouth. If he must come out of his area of the house, he needs to wear a mask at all times.

It is not typical to have sinus drainage and cough from metoprolol. I would recommend seeing your primary care provider for evaluation.

How long is the hospital stay for angioplasty?

Average length of time for a hospital stay after angioplasty is 1-2 days, provided there are no underlying conditions or complications during surgery and recovery.

You need to see your primary care provider and have an in-person evaluation. Hope you feel better!

Can I use augmentin for ecoli UTI?

It is typical for your provider to send out culture with sensitivity. Sensitivities show which antibiotics are best to treat a certain bacterium. Amox/Clav is often used, however, I would check with the provider who ordered your culture to verify that your strain of E. Coli was sensitive to Amox/Clav.

I've been sick for a week now?

You need to contact your primary care provider or go the nearest urgent care for evaluation and treatment.

Do you go home the same day after gallbladder removal?

Barring any complications, gallbladder removal is typically an outpatient procedure. I would speak with your surgeon to verify what his plan is for you the day of surgery.

I haven't had my period?

You need to see your ob/gyn or primary care provider for labs. Menstrual changes can be affected by anything from hormones, thyroid, stress, or even being underweight.

Can a 7-year-old get the COVID vaccine?

The Pfizer vaccine is currently approved for ages 5 and up.

Bactrim uses?

There are a variety of antibiotics used to treat spider bites. Bactrim is one antibiotic that is used to treat skin infections/spider bites in individuals not allergic to sulfa drugs.

Should I get the flu shot this year?

The flu shot is recommended for most individuals, unless you have an allergy or previous adverse reaction. While the flu shot is helpful in prevention, it does not completely protect you from contracting the flu. It should, however, help minimize complications such as hospitalization and pneumonia, if you contract the flu.
