Does the first shot of Covid-19 Vaccination give you any immunity to the Delta strain?

I'm getting my first shot, just wondering if you get any amount of resistance/immunity from that first shot. I have anxiety, and I only waited this long because I couldn't use any of the resources to go -get- my shot.
