If you have a family history of heart attacks, its important to understand your personal risk. Depending on your age, symptoms, and overall health, your provider might recommend imaging tests to take a closer look at your heart.

Some common options include
Calcium score coronary artery calcium scan A simple CT scan that checks for early plaque buildup in the heart arteries.
Stress testing This shows how your heart performs under activity and whether blood flow is normal.
Echocardiogram heart ultrasound Looks at the hearts structure and function.
CT angiography or other advanced imaging Sometimes used if there are concerns about blocked arteries or symptoms.

Your provider will decide whats best based on your individual risk factors, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and whether youve had any symptoms.

Depending on your age and risk factors, your cardiologist might want to obtain a calcium cardiac score, a stress test, or a heart catheterization. Basically, a special CT scan, an EKG under exertion, or a contrast xray to show blood flow through the arteries around your heart.

There is a few imaging test can be done. Such as, CCTA Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses X-rays and contrast material to create detailed three-dimensional images of the coronary arteries. Cardiac CT to measure the amount of calcium in the coronary arteries. An ECG measures the electrical activity of the heart and records information on heart rate and rhythm. Echocardiography uses ultrasound to create moving pictures of the heart. Myocardial Perfusion Imaging MPI Nuclear Stress Test: This test involves injecting a small amount of radioactive material into a vein.

There are a lot of factors that go into it age, lifestyle, etc. Primary prevention is good food and exercise, and if indicated, a CTA can be done to assess further. Each case is different.
