Diet and Nutrition Tips for Breast Cancer Patients and Survivors

Should you go for organic?

Nowadays, it is very popular for people to buy organic foods in the belief that it is better for their health. In many ways, it is true that by buying organic, you avoid harsh chemicals that are found in pesticides and fertilizers used in the agricultural industry today. However, not all foods need to be organic, and you don't necessarily have to eat organic if you have cancer. Some people believe that eating organic can prevent cancer, but this is a myth and not a fact. Though eating organic food limits your exposure to pesticides and hormones, research shows that there is no increase in breast cancer risk if you eat non-organic food. There's no harm in eating organic, but it is by no means necessary to be in good health.
