What Not to Say to Someone with Breast Cancer
Don't make them ask you for help
Offering help to your loved one is a nice gesture, but don't put the ball in their court. They might feel like a burden to everyone and are likely to try to get one without your help as much as possible. Rather than asking them to come to you when they need you, offer your support in concrete ways. Try offering to help them with errands, or to do their laundry for them. Take their kids for a night so they can get some rest. These are all wonderful ways that you can help someone you love who has breast cancer.
