What Not to Say to Someone with Breast Cancer

Don't question their treatment choices

When someone confides to you about their breast cancer, but they haven't asked your advice, don't offer it. Simply be there for them to lend a listening ear. Most likely, your friend has felt like they have done everything in their power and likely, they have spent extensive time and research talking with their doctors and planning out their treatment plans. It's rude to pretend like you know more about their situation than they do. So unless you are a medical doctor, refrain from giving advice, and rather listen to their story instead.
