A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he is board-certified in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
In his academic role, Dr. Hoyek serves as a Clinical Instructor within the Department of Medicine at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine.
Interventional cardiology is a branch of cardiology that deals specifically with the catheter based treatment of structural heart diseases. Interventional cardiologists specialize in treating a range of heart and vascular conditions through a process called catheterization.
