Get to know Urogynecologist Dr. Peter Aziz, who serves patients in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Well-versed in the field of Urogynecology, Dr. Aziz is proficient in complex pelvic reconstruction surgeries, minimally invasive procedures, and robotic surgeries, and lends his expertise to addressing conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fistulas, and obstetrical injuries. 

Throughout his academic career, he embarked on his journey in medicine at Ain Shams University School of Medicine. Following his passion for women’s health, he pursued a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital, honing his skills under the tutelage of esteemed mentors. His quest for excellence led him to Louisiana State University, where he completed a fellowship in Urogynecology and Female Pelvic Surgery, further solidifying his expertise in this specialized field. He also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of New England, underscoring his dedication to advancing healthcare systems.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Aziz maintains active membership in esteemed professional organizations, including The American Urogynecologic Society, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American College of Surgeons.

Urogynecology is the surgical specialty that encompasses treating women with pelvic floor dysfunction. This includes a number of conditions including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, stool incontinence, urinary and bowel fistulas, neurogenic bladder, complications from childbirth and previous pelvic surgeries. 

As a testament to his success,  Dr. Aziz’s commitment to excellence has garnered him recognition, including the prestigious Top 10% Reviewer award from The Green Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2023 and the Silver Cord for Professional and Community Service from the University of New England in 2022. He is also a reviewer for the Yellow Journal of Urogynecology.
