Get to know Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist Dr. Michael M. Cho, who serves patients in New Jersey.

As a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist, Dr. Cho specializes in male and female infertility, reproductive endocrinology, in vitro fertilization, reconstructive reproductive surgeries, minimally invasive surgery, surrogacy and egg donation, and fertility preservation. He sees patients at the University Reproductive Associates in Hasbrouck Heights, Hoboken, and Wayne, New Jersey.

At University of Reproductive Associates, the board-certified OB/GYN and fertility specialist team listens to each patient to provide a completely customized treatment approach based on their and their families’ unique needs. Their goal is to help patients complete their journey to a joyful pregnancy by remaining dedicated to delivering sensitive, innovative fertility solutions. 

Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Cho serves as a Clinical Associate Professor within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women’s Health at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University. He is also a reviewer for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Infertility.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the Endocrine Society, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. 

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Cho earned his bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at MacDonald Women’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, California.

The doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Reproductive endocrinology and infertility is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to reproduction, as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males outside after the reproductive years.
