Dr. Nicole R. Smizer, MD, FACOG, is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist providing comprehensive and compassionate care at Women for Women OBGYN in Lake Success, New York. Her dedication to women’s health is underscored by her affiliation with Northwell Health, Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Originally from Plainville, Connecticut, Dr. Smizer’s journey into medicine began with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Siena College in 2005. Her commitment to patient care led her to work as a Patient Care Associate on the Infectious Disease Unit at Albany Medical Center, setting the stage for her pursuit of a Medical Degree at Albany Medical College, which she obtained in May 2010.

In 2014, Dr. Smizer brought her expertise to Women for Women OBGYN following the completion of her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She is dedicated to all facets of obstetrics and gynecology, with a particular focus on minimally invasive procedures that prioritize patient comfort and recovery.

Dr. Smizer holds the distinction of being a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). 

Her commitment to excellence has been recognized through various accolades, including The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award in 2014. Her leadership abilities were highlighted during her tenure as Administrative Chief Resident in the Department of OBGYN at Hofstra Northwell Health LIJ Medical Center from 2013 to 2014. Furthermore, Dr. Smizer’s passion for teaching and mentorship was acknowledged with the Resident Teaching Award in 2014.
