Dr. Ram is a highly-trained obstetrician-gynecologist serving as the Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Her clinical interests include fetal diagnosis and perinatal hospice.
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is a full service medical hospital and emergency facility in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, New York City, on the service road of the Van Wyck Expressway at Jamaica Avenue. Its mission is “To serve our patients and the community in a way that is second to none.”
Academically, Dr. Ram attended Bryn Mawr College, where she majored in Physics and minored in English Literature. She completed her medical school and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Buffalo.
For several years, she practiced as an academic generalist in the New York City metropolitan area, during which time she received a Master’s degree in Clinical Research Training from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She continued her training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completing a subspecialty fellowship in maternal fetal medicine.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Ram is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology & maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
