Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Pearl J. Lim, who serves patients in Scarsdale, New York.

Dr. Lim is a trusted obstetrician-gynecologist & a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). She is a part of the team of professionals at ColumbiaDoctors Obstetrics & Gynecology in Scarsdale, New York.

Her areas of medical interest include adolescent gynecology, preconception counseling, and menopause. Her care often integrates nutrition and other holistic options.

A Westchester resident since 2005, Dr. Lim is affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

A 1996 graduate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Lim went on to perform her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

After practicing for 15 years servicing the Korean-American community in Queens as an obstetrician and gynecologist, she joined the General OB/GYN division of ColumbiaDoctors Scarsdale. 

With expertise in women’s issues, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, and menopause. Additionally, they work with expecting mothers throughout their pregnancies, during childbirth, and into postpartum. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Lim speaks both English and Korean.
