Can drinking excessive coffee cause kidney damage?
While coffee itself is generally OK, there may be hidden toxins in coffee that may surprise you. Some of these toxins can create kidney issues so it’s important to get good quality organic coffee. I need a second opinion for my Dad's treatment?
Whenever we administer any battery of neurocognitive testing, we make sure that there are no drug effects. At this point, it would be good to get another set of full neurocognitive testing to be cleared to drive. A neurologist can document resolution of symptoms. What is the best antibiotic to treat pneumonia?
This is a complicated answer. First of all most pneumoniae are viral. Which means antibiotics don’t work for it. To characterize whether your pneumonia is viral or bacterial, your doctor may do a physical exam or even order a chest x-ray for you. Overall cholesterol - do I need medication?
To answer this question, they probably will need to be more then just a cholesterol panel to determine. There are other inflammatory markers in blood work as well as procedures that can be done by the cardiologist to risk stratify you. For example, even moving beyond just LDL and HDL, there are different particle sizes for both proteins that your doctor can help you with. A cardiologist can opt to do a calcium score for your heart. Can you have sinus pain on just one side?
Yes absolutely. It may be that one side is more plugged up than the other. There are several factors for this. You could have a deviated septum, enlarged turbinates, and narrows drainage pathways within your sinus tracts. While CBD oil is generally safe, you will want to get a brand that has been third-party tested for toxins and contaminants. Having said that, CBD interferes with virtually every medication and it is important to work with your doctor for monitoring of this if you are on medications. READ MORE
Safe to wean off Eliquis after lung blood clots?
This is a tough challenge due to there being no data on the impact of the SARS CoV-2 Virus on long term clotting risk. There are risks that are associated with taking the medication itself as well that has been well documented. I don't know if there is a "best to do" in this scenario. Finally, he completed his Functional Medicine training at the Institute for Functional Medicine.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Among his other roles, he serves as the Chief Medical Advisor at PrimeMyBody, overseeing a number of critical areas, including product safety, evidence-based product testing and validation, as well as quality assurance.
As for his academic appointments, Dr. Ruan is an Educator with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, educating health coaches on how to communicate their value to medical practices; getting paid in a medical practice with insurance; and how dominating the highly reimbursable platform of Remote Patient Monitoring is crucial to make health coaches a necessary part of medicine.
